After the Shop Hop this past weekend, I caught wind of the Yarnery Knit-Along. And friend's beautiful Rainbow Socks inspired me to create my own.
The yarn is coming out a bit more 80s than expected, but I'm still digging the short-rowing pattern! Seeing as I have less than half the month to finish, I better get cracking!

You are so right, they are very '80s. But fun! : )
Great yarn choice-- love the stripe variations! Did you change the pattern stitch count, or stick to 60?
The very moment I saw that pattern I knew I must knit it!

I didn't change the stitch count. I stuck to 60, but the directions are a little confusing because I short row a little differently. so it took a few trial and errors to figure it ou!
Yes, thought the directions could have been a bit more concise and less confusing! Someone wrote up a tutorial with better instructions somewhere in blogland. (She's knitting a pink version- easy to find on Ravelry if you have access.)
Also, the stitch count can be modified to any even number. I'm always amazed with folks who write up 'one gauge preference/size' fits all.
