These are "pedestrian" socks knit for My Husband. They remind me of YH's basic pattern. My Husbasnd finally committed to trying them on one more time for the toe to make sure they fit. They FIT!

The yarn is Fortissima Colori that we purchased at Another Quality Yarn Shop while on a trip to Ely, MN. He chose the yarn.

It has been a delight to knit them. More delightful (delightfuller) is that my needles will be freed for another pair of socks!

Happy Sock Knitting!

My husband only likes plain black socks, the worlds most boring socks to knit. These are great colors.

Susan,
Your socks look great. What kind of heel is that? I don't think I see a flap. What is the name of it and why do you chose that method? Thanks.

To kate the knitter . . .

I have my own heel that seems to fit quite snuggly . . . I just do a St st (sl1 beginning of each row) flap, turn the heel and pick up sts on each side. I usually do my flap with 4-6 sts less than the traditional 1/2 of total sts for a narrower heel. Thanks for asking!
