Harlot Socks
I couldn't be more excited that the Yarn Harlot is coming to town! Especially since I missed her last time. : ( I finally got a copy of her Knitting Rules, and I want to try her basic sock recipe. I need some easy socks for when I need a little mindless, therapuetic knitting. I always covet those basic socks in fabulous yarns on her blog. So my questions for you all are: Have you used her sock recipe? Will you post pictures and comments? Does anyone want to do a Harlot KAL leading up to April 10? Thanks! (And thanks to Sarah W for nudging me to post this!)

Good job Amanda, nice to "see" you here!! Don't forget to email answers to the questions so that you can be entered to win her new book!!
I'd be interested in the Harlot KAL - I need a good excuse to try a new pattern.
Hey, I'm already sorta doing that right now. I'm using self-striping yarn and the Harlot's sock recipe. I just turned my first heel without a pattern and it felt freeing. I'll try to post pics soon.
I'm glad there are others interested in this! I finished my first Harlot sock this weekend, using Austermann Step yarn that I bought with an SITC coupon. It went super fast, and I love the simplicity of the pattern with the big bold stripes. I think I could have the pattern memorized pretty easily, which would be great. Socks are such nice portable projects, but having to bring along a pattern takes a little away from that.
I'll get a picture up as soon as I can. Sarah said if I don't, she'll have to force a photo session next time I'm at the Yarnery, so you'll see them one way or another!
